Groundwork Simulator guides
Every Groundwork Simulator guide on the site, sorted by what you are trying to do: start playing, run the machines, wash gold or fix a launch bug.
Twelve guides, grouped by task: start here, then machines and digging, then washing gold and money, then co-op and launch-week fixes.
Twelve pages, sorted by the job you are trying to do rather than by keyword. If you are brand new, the first three are the whole game. Everything after them is for the point where the site is running and something specific is going wrong.

Start here
- How to Play Groundwork Simulator — the four-step loop from test hole to sale, in order.
- Beginner Guide — the first two hours: where to dig, how long the haul should be, what to set up before you scale.
- Excavator, Loader and Bulldozer — which machine does which job, and why using one for all three doubles the work.
Machines, ground and water
- Terrain, Slopes and Haul Routes — cutting slopes, stockpiling spoil and keeping the road you built usable.
- Gold Washing and the Wash Plant — feed, conveyor, sluice boxes, shaking table, and the water that has to reach all of it.
Money and the site
- Gold Prices and Company Growth — the Field Journal panels, the price chart and the daily demand timer.
- Co-op — solo or up to four players, and how to split digging, hauling and plant duty.
Release and reference
- Release Date — what shipped on October 22, 2026, at what price, on which platforms.
- Early Access Roadmap — the three published updates and what each one promises.
- Launch Week — day-one crashes, the gold-map workaround, controller problems and the announced patch.
- System Requirements — Windows and macOS tables, plus the CPU warning the store page gives you.
- FAQ — price, languages, co-op count, Mac support and where to report bugs.
How these pages are written
Every mechanism described here comes from the store page, the developer's site, an official screenshot or a launch-day thread, and each page points at the source it leans on. Numbers are only used when the developer published them: price, release date, player count, system specs, language count. Bucket capacity, gold values and upgrade prices are not listed anywhere on this site because the game does not publish them and we are not going to guess.
If a page is missing the thing you need, the contact page takes requests — and if the game itself is failing, the fastest route is the official Discord, which the developer pinned in the Steam discussions on launch day.
